Squirrel Nut Zippers, also known as Squirrel Nut Chews, are bite-sized chewy caramel candy with mixed-in chunks of real peanuts. They are a longtime favorite of retro candy enthusiasts.

The Squirrel brand first appeared on America’s candy shelves in 1890. From its signature roasted peanut blends to its gooey, chewy candy favorites, the Squirrel Nut Company quickly developed a fiercely loyal and enthusiastic base of customers. Their flagship product, Squirrel Nut Zippers, is named after an alcoholic beverage that was very popular during the Prohibition era.

The marketing gimmick and one-of-a-kind deliciousness proved to be a huge hit. Candy lovers couldn’t get enough of the smooth vanilla, caramel and peanut flavors. In the 1990s, a retro swing band even named itself the Squirrel Nut Zippers and gave out pieces of the famous candy to the audience during its performances.

Each tub contains 240 pieces of individually wrapped Squirrel Nut Zippers.
